Experience the magic of California in style
In honor of BUCON’s 10th anniversary, we are taking you on an exclusive journey to the West Coast of the United States. Seven days filled with sun, culture, gastronomy, and of course, world-class golf. From the vibrant energy of San Francisco to the serene elegance of Pebble Beach: this trip is an ode to the finer things in life.
San Francisco – City of icons and stories
For the first four nights, we will stay at the stylish Palace Hotel, a historical jewel in the heart of San Francisco. From here, we will discover the city that never ceases to amaze: the Golden Gate Bridge, the mysterious island of Alcatraz, and the picturesque streets of Fisherman’s Wharf. In the evenings, we will dine at some of the finest restaurants the city has to offer, where culinary sophistication and Californian hospitality meet.
Wine, nature, and class in Napa Valley
No visit to California is complete without the enchantment of Napa Valley. Amidst rolling vineyards, we will taste refined wines and enjoy lunch among the vines. A day that leaves you wanting more.
Coastal golf paradise – Pebble Beach
After the city, tranquility and prestige await on the rugged Pacific coast. We will stay for three nights at the iconic The Inn at Spanish Bay, a resort that exudes elegance and relaxation. Here, we will play on some of the most impressive golf courses in the world, culminating in the legendary Pebble Beach Golf Links. Every hole offers a new panorama of the ocean and a memory that lasts a lifetime.
An anniversary to never forget
This extraordinary journey combines relaxation, adventure, and sophistication—the very qualities that define BUCON and its partners. Together, we celebrate a decade of success in style, with California as our backdrop.
BUCON 10 years – Cheers to the next chapter!

Since your tour leader has searched far and wide for a somewhat reasonable quote for transport, it is quite unfortunate... It is simply all very expensive. Well, then we shall be picked up in style; for the journey to Pebble Beach and back to the airport, we have a 22-seater with ample space for all luggage.

The striking Palace Hotel offers famous bars, a restaurant with a beautiful crystal chandelier, a fitness room, and an indoor pool under a glass dome. It is located in San Francisco's Financial District, and the vibrant Union Square is reachable within a 5-minute walk.
Leather-upholstered headboards, 3.35-meter high ceilings, bedside lighting, high-thread-count linens, and pillow-top mattresses guarantee a wonderful night's sleep in every room of the Palace Hotel, a Luxury Collection Hotel, San Francisco. The chic furniture, including the desk, tables, and bathroom vanity, is inspired by classic luggage, reflecting the original character of the Palace with a modern touch. Guests can enjoy a 48-inch flat-screen TV with satellite channels and streaming facilities, a marble bath, a rain shower, and a lighted bathroom mirror. The layered dark red, midnight blue, and gray fabrics, inspired by American West Coast Impressionism, create a rich coastal atmosphere. The rooms also feature restored architectural elements, such as a solid oak door from 1909 and brass doorknobs with monograms. Some suites have a separate seating area with custom sofas and offer views of Market Street.
The Garden Court restaurant is illuminated by Austrian crystal chandeliers. During the day, the glass roof allows for plenty of natural light. Breakfast, lunch, and signature tea are served during the day. In the evening, you can enjoy savory bites, handcrafted cocktails, specially selected wines, and decadent desserts in the GC Lounge. In the Pied Piper, you can relax with innovative cocktails, craft beers, bold wines, and artisanal dishes to share. Here you will find the mural of the Pied Piper of Hamelin. Maxfield Parrish painted it on commission as a gift to San Francisco for the hotel's reopening in 1909. The Pied Piper features a sexy, contemporary decor and is a true legend in San Francisco, a perfect spot for an intimate dinner or a social event.
Under a glass dome with views over the city is an indoor swimming pool, surrounded by lounge chairs and spas. This oasis is located on one of the higher floors, accessible by key card, and also offers spa services and a 24-hour fitness center with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the pool. The locker rooms are equipped with marble baths and spa showers.
From the Palace Hotel, a Luxury Collection Hotel, San Francisco, you can travel by cable car in 20 minutes to the shops and eateries of Fisherman’s Wharf. The concierge is available 24 hours a day and will be happy to assist you with information about restaurants, designer boutiques, cable cars, the Embarcadero, the Ferry Building, Chinatown, Oracle Park, cultural museums, and theaters.

After a short, or for some, long night, today is all about playing tourist. We will go to Alcatraz, and have lunch and photo opportunities on the other side of the Golden Gate Bridge.
Considered by many the jewel of the Club, the 9-hole par-3 executive Cliffs Course features sweeping views of the Pacific Ocean. Jay Morrish and Tom Weiskopf designed the course, which opened in 1994 and currently features our only holes west of Skyline Blvd.

The Pacific Links, as the Ocean Course was originally known, also opened in May 1924. The 18-hole course featured eight holes west of Skyline Blvd. However, winter storms caused mudslides which led to necessary redesigns of both courses and some of the original Lake Course holes became part of the Ocean Course. Only two holes (the 3rd and 4th) remained west of Skyline. The course reopened in 1927 with a length of 6,053 yards, or about 400 yards shorter than the Lake Course at the time.
The Ocean Course has been redesigned and rerouted several times since 1927, including a total reconstruction under Tom Weiskopf in 2000. A further renovation took place in 2012, after the U.S. Open, under the guidance of Bill Love and the Green Committee.
The Ocean Course is now a customizable experience that balances the needs of players at all skill levels with providing a challenging and rewarding round of golf. The Ocean Course has hosted several local, state, regional, and national championships, including the 2004 U.S. Junior Amateur, the 2007 U.S. Amateur, and the 2015 inaugural U.S. Four-Ball Championships.

Today is all about wine. We are in talks with various houses, and are trying to find a mix of craftsmanship, terroir, the story, but above all, conviviality with a touch of learning. The program for this day may change several times.

If Pebble Beach is the Greatest Meeting of Land and Sea, then perhaps Spyglass Hill should be dubbed the Greatest Meeting of Sand and Trees. The defining takeaway at Spyglass Hill is how starkly the first five holes juxtapose the rest of your round. Sweeping ocean views with holes darting through a daring dunescape give way to the understated natural beauty and brawn of the Del Monte Forest. Pine Valley-by-the-Sea meets Augusta National, as Sports Illustrated eloquently described it.
As an annual co-host of the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, as well as a stroke-play venue for a pair of U.S. Amateur Championships (1999 and 2018), Spyglass Hill’s championship pedigree has been validated by the game’s very best.

Del Monte is a landmark course that has played an instrumental role in popularizing golf out West since its inception in 1897. The birthplace of the California State Amateur and the oldest course in continuous operation west of the Mississippi retains much of that classic charm today, challenging the game’s best golfers with its small, sloping, old-school greens.
Originally designed as a nine-hole course in 1897 by Charles E. Maud and expanded to 18 holes in 1902, Del Monte promptly attracted the game’s best players. The course’s Del Monte Championship was so highly regarded that many considered the champion to be the best golfer in the state. When the California State Amateur was founded in 1912, Del Monte was the natural choice to host it. Del Monte was also selected to host the 1916 Western Amateur, marking the first time one of the era’s biggest national amateur events was played west of Colorado.

The day has finally arrived. Today we play Pebble Beach.... Pebble Beach Co., opened in 1919, is considered one of the most beautiful courses in the world. The course is situated right on the rugged coastline and offers an expansive view of Carmel Bay, which opens into the Pacific Ocean at the southern end of the Monterey Peninsula. In 2001, it became the first public course to be voted number 1.

Welcome to Pebble Beach Golf Links, unanimously rated the No. 1 Public Course in the Country. Pebble Beach hosted its sixth U.S. Open in 2019, and its first U.S. Women’s Open in 2023, more than any other course over the last 50 years. Seven future championships will be hosted including: three future Women’s Opens in 2035, 2040 and 2048, and four future U.S. Opens in 2027, 2032, 2037 and 2044. Every February, the PGA TOUR visits for the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, a tradition that began in 1947.
Enjoy the round of a lifetime at Pebble Beach.
