This hotel overlooking the Moray Firth is in a beautiful setting and has beautiful gardens that lead to the coast. You can enjoy gourmet dining in the AA Rosette-awarded Hickory Restaurant, enjoy a casual meal in the modern Links Brasserie with panoramic views over the Moray Firth, or enjoy afternoon tea in the comfortable lounge. The Golf View Hotel & Spa offers spacious rooms, elegant design and modern conveniences. Many of the bedrooms offer stunning sea views. Some bedrooms offer window seating with panoramic views over the Moray Firth and the mystical Black Isle beyond. Not sure if we'll have time for it. But the hotel features a Spa complete with jacuzzi (indoor and outdoor) swimming pool and massage options.

There was time when the spectacular links of the Nairn Golf Club kept its light rather hidden beneath the bushel but the Amateur Championship of 1994 and the famous GB & I victory over the United States in the Walker Cup in 1999 changed all that. This is one of the classic links courses of Scotland, an amalgamation of the work of Andrew Simpson, Old Tom Morris, Ben Sayers and inevitably James Braid. Today's layout, with the exception of a little discreet refinement by C.K. Cotton, is largely the work of Braid and spectacular it is in every regard. Great stands of gorse, wonderful crisp fairway turf and greens that are widely hailed as the best in Scottish golf are the legacy that Braid left in this beautiful corner of Morayshire.

We don't need to think about this, right!

History and diversity make Scottish golf courses famous throughout the world. As Turnberry is to Ayrshire and Gleneagles is to Perthshire, Castle Stuart has been conceived to be for the Highlands, a beacon reaching out to golfers throughout the world. The centrepiece for this Scottish destination golf resort is Castle Stuart Golf Links, a championship links course overlooking the Moray Firth and well-known landmarks that are synonymous with Inverness and the Black Isle - Kessock Bridge and Chanonry Lighthouse perhaps the most notable.

By popular demand, back from being away. Eating at Alfie's in the Riverhouse can once again count on chaos, lots of food and drink, but with a Scottish smile.
