We cordially invite you to an unforgettable experience in the heart of the Scottish Highlands: Inverness. A journey full of nature, relaxation, adventure and friendship – where special moments are shared and new memories are made.
Your stay will take place in the stylish Ness Castle Lodge, idyllically located on the banks of the River Ness. Here you will learn the art of fly fishing for two days – guided by experienced instructors who will immerse you in the traditions of this timeless sport.
For those who prefer a little more action, we also offer the opportunity for clay pigeon shooting in Aviemore or a round of golf on some of Scotland’s most beautiful courses, including the impressive Nairn Links and the world-famous Castle Stuart.
Of course, the inner person is also taken care of. During the trip you will enjoy the best that Scotland has to offer: a custom-made private dinner with authentic Scottish dishes, or an atmospheric evening with Alfie in Inverness, where taste and conviviality come together.
This trip is all about relaxation, laughter, wine, conviviality and sharing beautiful moments – among yourselves, with friends, in a setting that exudes peace, luxury and connection.
In short, a unique opportunity to experience Scotland at its purest.
Upon arrival, Ken, our driver, will be waiting for us. Inverness Airport is a small airport, and before Brexit, he could simply stand next to the plane and be gone within 5 minutes. Ken also always has a supply of chilled beers with him. He will be available to us 24/7 during the trip.

A simple lunch will be served, naturally with a glass of wine. We need to purchase these ourselves, or bring them from the Netherlands. If we know which wines are preferred, we can of course arrange all of this.

Tonight, a local private chef will present an 8-course dinner with everything Scotland stands for. It is quite a long sitting, and the portions are not small... Scottish, we might say.

In the photo, you see the lodge on the right and the fishermen's cottage on the left, where fishermen can eat and drink. On the first evening, this will be transformed into a restaurant (we don't want to do this in our own lodge, due to kitchen odors), where there is also a jacuzzi where you can possibly enjoy a slightly stronger drink before going to sleep!

Today, as yesterday, you will receive lessons in mastering fly fishing under the guidance of a Ghillie. It is not easy, gentlemen, but it is the best time to catch something! The fishing beat, as it is called, is one of the 3 best fishing spots in Scotland.

Rocpool Restaurant is a cozy restaurant with good cuisine and decent wines. The South African Sommelier who works there will provide you with a nice wine.

Today you will play golf at the very place where we at Beyond Expectations fell in love with Scotland (weather permitting, of course). Nairn Links is an historic course with a rich heritage. Allie the starter will assign a caddie. Dinner tonight will be at a small local restaurant run by a Scottish couple who believe that not everything needs to be deep-fried. Additionally, the venue is located within a wine shop, allowing you to select your own wine with a corkage fee... and they have an extensive, high-quality selection.

There was time when the spectacular links of the Nairn Golf Club kept its light rather hidden beneath the bushel but the Amateur Championship of 1994 and the famous GB & I victory over the United States in the Walker Cup in 1999 changed all that. This is one of the classic links courses of Scotland, an amalgamation of the work of Andrew Simpson, Old Tom Morris, Ben Sayers and inevitably James Braid. Today's layout, with the exception of a little discreet refinement by C.K. Cotton, is largely the work of Braid and spectacular it is in every regard. Great stands of gorse, wonderful crisp fairway turf and greens that are widely hailed as the best in Scottish golf are the legacy that Braid left in this beautiful corner of Morayshire.

A busy day today. Early start, because we are going clay pigeon shooting, under supervision in one of the most beautiful shooting associations we know. You will be taken into the forest, and no matter how good you are... they have dozens of machines with speeds and numbers that you have never seen before. After shooting, enjoy a hamburger sandwich upon arrival at the golf club, 18 holes in the buggy. Afterwards, we suggest quickly returning to the bus, because after all, Ken also has beer in the bus towards the lodge, or directly to Alfie's restaurant (owner). Really a top restaurant with quality fish.

You can choose to go home on the 28th after golfing, but then you will miss Inverness by night. And if you still stick around.... then you should also play Castle Stuart the next morning after breakfast. (no. 54 in the world, no. 9 in Scotland and no. 19 UK). You must have played this one. Tee times have been requested as well as the caddies.

History and diversity make Scottish golf courses famous throughout the world. As Turnberry is to Ayrshire and Gleneagles is to Perthshire, Castle Stuart has been conceived to be for the Highlands, a beacon reaching out to golfers throughout the world. The centrepiece for this Scottish destination golf resort is Castle Stuart Golf Links, a championship links course overlooking the Moray Firth and well-known landmarks that are synonymous with Inverness and the Black Isle - Kessock Bridge and Chanonry Lighthouse perhaps the most notable.
